Meet Dr. Jeffrey Scales

Dr. Scales has always exhibited a passion to both achieve and serve. He began his academic journey at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He then distinguished himself as a student at The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Scales has enjoyed rich healthcare experiences and training, including a pediatric residency at The University of Chicago as well as a dermatology residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. The breadth of experience gained from these and other opportunities laid the foundation for establishing himself in private practice.

Anay Castro, PA-C

Anay Castro is a board certified Physician Assistant with 13 years of work experience. Prior to joining NCCD, she practiced in the Emergency Department where she gained extensive clinical and procedural experience. Mrs. Castro holds a Bachelors of Science degreee from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University.
She is interested in adult and pediatric dermatology, and enjoys performing medical and cosmetic procedures. She loves to spend time with patients and offer comprehensive dermatological evaluations. Mrs. Castro was born and raised in Cuba, she is fully proficient in English and Spanish.

• Skin Itching: including hives, and poison ivy, oak, and sumac
